Choosing an Effective Tobacco Cessation Program

What does Alyfe health coaching include?

Alyfe’s health coaching program is personalized for each participant's unique lifestyle.  Behavior change can be hard, but by working with a health coach that recognizes the diversities, participants gain the following:

A Unique Personalized Plan

Our initial coaching session includes a conversation about a participant's ‘y’, or personal motivation toward change.  When motivation comes from within, a participant isn’t operating from just outside reward or gain, but for their own long-lasting happiness and well-being. In the initial coaching session, a participant will use their motivation to develop goals and milestones toward not only quitting tobacco but also what lifestyle changes the participant desires.

Monthly Sessions

After the initial session, a participant continues with five monthly follow-up telephonic sessions with an Alyfe health coach to evaluate behavior change and discuss topics like overcoming obstacles, barriers, and setbacks, all helping to build confidence.

Active Support

Alyfe health coaches serve as mentors and supporters that guide participants along their road to quitting tobacco for good.  Health coaches also help participants discover peer-level support and support resources available to them through their employer or in the community.

Evidence-Based Strategies

Health coaches are skilled at incorporating behavior change techniques like the transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing to engage participants toward changing their habits. By the end of the program, a participant is equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to continue on their road of behavior change.
